Well today is the big day I guess. I can't believe this day that I have been thinking about for months now has finally arrived. I am so excited to see what new adventures wait for me in Paraguay. After some last minute shopping last night, and tying up a few loose ends, I am finally ready to leave. I'll be heading out the door any minute now. I feel like I have already grown and learned so much from this whole experience and I have not even left yet. That makes me even more excited to see how God will use me and also to see what He will teach me in Paraguay this year!
I am not really worried about anything, but that is partly do to the fact that I have no idea of what to expect. Well I need to head out the door pretty soon here, and yes it is 3:30AM :)
Please keep me in your prayers, I'll need them,
Erin

Who, What, When, Where
Hey,
My departure date (July 29th) is approaching fast. My Paraguayan year is in sight. So let me tell you a little bit about my host family, city, and school. The name of the school is Colegio Santa Teresita del Nino Jesus. I saw pictures of the school on their website and it looks pretty big and nice too! They have uniforms: gray skirts, white shirts, and black shoes. I am pretty excited to start school there. My host family has a mom, dad, and three brothers. They seem like a pretty nice family. So far I have emailed them and written them a letter about myself and asking questions about themselves. The city I am living in a suburb of Ciudad del Este called Colonia Yguazu. I have seen a picture of the house and neighborhood and it all looks pretty peaceful, pretty, and nice.
I bought presents for my family today. I got them chocolate chips (something they don't have there) and dried cherries (from MI). Hopefully they will like it.
I can't wait to go and find out what God has instore of me in Paraguay :)
